ok.. sorry for the almost 8 week hiatus from here haha lots have been happening =)

well 1stly i have been bz with volunteering for YOG... totally didnt regret volunteering coz it's really a new experience for me.. though i was just a goodie bag distributor... i did some form of ushering during some combined rehearsals as well as during the actual opening and closing ceremonies.. it was great to meet the young atheletes from all over the world.. they r a bunch of very friendly ppl~ and so r the volunteers whom i worked with at the tentage.. it was all of our combined effort that made the goodie bag distribution possible! hahaha

2ndly.. sch has started for me... no longer at NUS but UChicago! yea but i'm still in SG... i dun think i'll be able to spend a long time away from home.. really will miss home de lo.. so yea that's y i like this program... it's all done in sg haha~ =) hmm becoz of the 13hour time difference between here and chicago... lessons r conducted from 7.30am to 10.30am~ when it is 6.30pm-9.30pm over at chicago... why must lessons be conducted at the same moment? coz the lecturers will be over at chicago while over here in sg.. we get to watch the lecture thru an interactive video conference~ why is it "interactive"? well that's coz we have a microphone over here and can ask qns and they can hear us over at the other side... sounds cool~ met lots of friendly ppl already and from the looks of it... i hope i'll be able to enjoy the course together with these ppl =)

hey ho! more than 2 months out... i m back! hoho!

i have graduated from NUS loh~~ yup my commencement was on 11 July 2010 and it was great to experience a convocation ceremony of my own after attending 2 of my sister's... and so now i m an official holder of a Bachelor's degree! =D up next: Masters hiak hiak~~

also.. i just came back from my pretty long UK trip~ yup almost 2 weeks long but yea feels good to be back home lying on your own bed... a pretty enjoyable trip though tiring at times coz of the long distance travelling.. pics can be viewed at my facebook page but there r loads of albums with loads or pics! hahaha 1200+ pics in total so can slowly take a look bah hahaha

actually also nothing much to update on my life seriously nothing exciting is happening... haa hmm oh well till the next post... ta ta~~

once again i have neglected this site for more than a month.. well coz i have been bz with many things~

firstly 3 days after my previous post.. i had to conquer my final nus examination which was like 4 papers in 4 days.. it was kinda like a marathon starting on monday and ending on thurs.. this exam felt good.. probably coz i know after this.. there wont be anymore for me in nus and for many others.. it's the end of their schooling life.. i'm sure many felt lost n still are feeling lost after studying for the past dunnoe how many donkey years and suddenly.. no more studying required.. it's out into the working world where they will spend the majority of the remainder of their lives.. it's quite a scary thought and i guess this is yet another phase of growing up

after the much hated exams... 6 of us... me xuanang chianwen jeslin serene and yuqian had something to look forward to! woo hoo grad trip and it's taiwan! i must say it was a very good experience.. only the 2nd time abroad with friends.. the weather there on the 1st day was good but after that it was hot hot hot... almost no difference between the weather there n singapore lor.. yea but they really have lots of good food n drinks.. the scenery there (mainly the rocks which we were brought to see) wasnt very fantastic.. i guess i'm not a very geological person who will appreciate all these natural phenomenons.. but still we had a great time taking pictures of random rocks... together with the more well known rocks as well~

personally i felt that the 6 of us had the best time at the ranch? where we rented 2 buggies to roam around the ranch... all of us took turns to drive the thing and it was a good time to teach chianwen n serene how to drive.. they did really well for their 1st time =) later on in the night.. we headed to the hotspring to just "chill" inside... but technically we werent really chilling since the spring was at 37 degrees? heh ok lame....

how about the most unforgettable experience? i had a tough time deciding between the bus incident and the roller coaster which we took =X and hmmm... after some time.. i think the roller coaster will be a better candidate~ since i wasnt very affected by the bus incident.. just a little shocked by it.. but the roller coaster~ wooo.. it's the 1st time i took a roller coaster.. not only that... it is a suspended n looping coaster and it was wild~ i remember shouting for the 1st half of the ride then for the next half i guess i got tired of shouting... to the extent that i was even looking around at the scenery.. although i couldnt really catch much at that kind of speed n since it was twisting n turning all the time... =X

so now i'm back from taiwan... waiting for exam results to be released and that would be another step closer to graduation! =)

yesterday was a meetup for the taiwan gang hahaha we all headed to marina barrage for an unsuccessful kite-flying session but a great picnic under the shade.. on the concrete floor with food prepared by us~ chianwen's sweet n sour pork, serene's pancakes, xuanang's pasta, szehui's chocolate, yuqian's packet drinks and my french toast!! the journey there was a long n treacherous 1... had to travel all the way to cck to meet qian srn boo so that we could have the car to drive there.. finally had a refresher course for manual car.. never realise it's been 4 years since i last drove a manual car.. the feeling was good but really stressful coz it wasnt my car.. it's been sooooo long since i last drove a manual car.. some incidents happened on the way there n back which i think i should shoulder the blame... will not let a similar incident happen again yup

more than a month later... here i am to write a new post! haha i know i should be studying but taking a break... and very long nv update already so =) here we go!

since the last post... many things have happened... most notably.. many tests n assignments all finally done n dusted.. i have finished my last week of formal learning in uni and today marks the end of reading week and b4 u know it.. exams would be over already n we will be anticipating the fact that we are all gonna graduate from nus... the feeling is really different from the time i graduated from sec sch or jc.. yup will definitely miss all my uni friends coz we wont be going thru the same routine anymore.. no more going to the lecture theatre to crap with each other.. no more going to dilys to buy my hotdog bun, waffle n carrot cake.. no more going to buona vista mrt together, squeezing on bus 95... yup

after this exams.. it's gonna be a 4 month holiday for me.. and yea i'm going to taiwan! together with xuanang, chianwen, jeslin, serene n yuqian! not many ppl but yea... sounds good enough to have lots of fun! never been to taiwan so really eagerly anticipating the trip together with them! also daddy said he wanna go to england for a holiday and that's probably gonna be another 2 weeks? hmm well as long as we go to manchester... hoho! i'll be damn happy! then i'll be left with slightly more than 3 months of holiday which i hope i'll be able to find a temp job so that i wont laze around at home doing nothing... woohoooo

shall talk about today! it's the day i go from 23 to 24 on 23/4.. nice huh? haha yup that's right.. officially 24 but i dun feel particularly excited about this year's bday lei.. it does feel great to receive the wishes to show that ppl do remember n i really really appreciate it.. especially my friends who go thru the trouble to plan dinner n the surprises~ i may not have much expressions but i m really happy to have these friends =D of coz not to forget my family who really want the best for me and i've received gifts from them and yea i really like all of them! haha!

let's rewind slightly to 17 apr which was the last day of school.. yup sch actually ended at 2pm n deloitte temps were only meeting at 630? so my plan was to stay in sch n study until time was up.. so after staying in sch for just a while... i decided to go cut my hair n the only slot available was 330.... it was already 245 at that time so i had to sort of rush down but yea managed to get there on time and when i was done with the haircut... i was thinking of how i was gonna slack my way to 630... then bumped into szehui la.. -_-" went grocery shopping with her n her bf which i felt i was kinda bright.. hahaha oh man but yea after that still gt lots of time so i went to clarke n slacked along singapore river.. took some pictures.. it feels good to just sit n stone on the steep steps that lead to the river.. really feels very peaceful hahaha then it was dinner n a surprise bday cake from my deloitte friends (i have to name them rite? 我要谢谢 yuanfang, elaine, filina, kenneth, junrong and victor) haha yea appreciated their time n effort and of coz their dinner treat haha so yea cheers!!

then it was out to cathay starbucks to study on tuesday with kahwoon chianwen and jinlin! i expected to just study n study we did... up until evening time when jinlin said she gtg for tuition and so she left... little did i know we will meet again later on lol! so left the 3 of us deciding where to go for dinner.. ichiban it is and then when we got there i was really shocked to see jinlin there with a cake there liao lor hoho so now 我也要谢谢 kahwoon, chianwen n jinlin =)

so really i feel that it's the little things in life that make me happy.. that keeps me going... the little things like my mama buying koi for my 2 days ago when i didnt even tell her that i felt like drinking it... which is why i never liked making things so grand n like so big shot... probably the only time i'll every do that will be my wedding... hahaha other than that i have always believed in the little things in life =)

free day today but decided to stay home (just like the weekend that just passed) so that i can study n prepare for my upcoming test.. yea for this semester i have the most number of tests during term time... 7 in total.. just completed 1 yesterday and the lecturer said that it's easier than the previous test that we took under the same module.. i seriously doubt so.. and hmm 1 more test coming up this sat..yea there isnt any typo.. saturday! coz the lazy lecturer cant book any venue for the test at the last minute.. then had to settle for either wed or sat.. and as usual he only heard the front part of the lecture theatre shouting SATURDAY! and not the local students at the back saying wednesday! then when he decided to schedule it on the saturday.. he asked wat time..9-11 or 1-3... same thing happened so the test is gonna be on saturday..9-11am.. there goes my slp again

on a happier note, not many ppl know about this..and i cant remember if i blogged about it b4.. but some time ago i applied for a course in the university of chicago...a master of science in financial maths

and i received an email from the admissions department..not sure if they call it that but anyway.. they sent me an email to tell me that i've been accepted into the program! they'll be sending a mail all the way from chicago too so i think will be receiving that mail by the end of the week~ so i guess i wont be working full time until next year but i m thinking of doing an internship instead.. not sure if any1 will accept a graduate as an intern waiting for enrollment into a graduate course.. will have to find out then but that will wait until next week since i have a test this sat and an assignment due on mon! the list just never stops.. tests and assignments~~

this is really random but i have to say.. i quite like the eastern part of sg.. probably coz i've been living here all my life.. haha actually for the 1st 2 months of my life, i was still staying at marine parade.. then after that we shifted over to my current home and i dun think there r plans to shift out of this house anytime within the next few years.. i'm happy with this place even though it's freakin ulu.. have to walk 10mins to the nearest food stall.. 15-20mins to the mrt station.. only a 5min walk to the bus stop but the bus takes 15mins to come.. not to mention the occasional stray cats and dogs that appear out of nowhere and wander around at night when u're walking home.. haha and recently.. there was a wild monkey spotted by my mother.. i havent seen it yet but as i was saying.. i like the east.. it gives a different kind of feeling.. feels very relaxed.. very serene yea but u'll get a totally different feeling when u are at the north or west.. just a different aura..i wont say it's not good..just feels different that's all =X

it finally rained! and on a day that i dun have to wake up early... so means a great sleep! ahhaha but still feeling tired.. oh man gotta admit that age is catching up... damn scary

been almost a month since i updated.. haha loads have happened but not very exciting news anyway.. things like chinese new year... midterm testsssss... nothing really great to talk about.. but wat i really wanna talk about is something really different from all my previous posts

this was wat happened... about 2 weeks ago.. my jc class had a gathering to go visit our fmaths tutor...since it was still cny so visiting her during cny would be a very good idea.. we caught up with one another and i learnt that some of them r enjoying their work.. 1 of them has a really good paying job but he has to work very long hours..got money also cant spend.. =X and another 1.. bought himself a car already.. even when he is still studying just like me.. i have no idea where he got his $ from but it got me thinking.. it's time for me to transit from being supported by my parents to supporting myself and of coz my parents when my dad officially retires...

so lately i've been calculating how much i would need to spend on a monthly basis in order to do so.. and after some time... i've decided that my 1st major target after getting a job is to get a car.. a small one would do..something like jazz or swift would be cool... 1 of the reasons that made me decide this is coz my dad is using the car all the time... to go to work.. to go for functions.. go meetings...so he goes out early in the morning and often returns home at around 8+ 9+.. and many times when my mum wans to go out n buy some stuff (i dunnoe why but most of the times... it's bulky or heavy stuff) she sometimes will drag me along to walk out...take bus... shop... carry the stuff...take bus..come home.. pretty troublesome but it would be much better with another car around... wat's the use of a license without a car rite? haha

went to the dentist on sunday n he strongly encourages me to put on braces.. i m still quite uncertain with that idea though now i'm leaning more towards putting them on.. he says my jaw is so small that my bottom teeth r all cramped up and that's the reason why my wisdom tooth isnt out yet.. no space to come out -_-" anybody can advise on the inconveniences with braces on??

1st half of the sem gone already... well it isnt really half of the sem since it's only 5 weeks n nus decided to put recess week together with cny holidays...smart move by them but in the end who suffer? us

havent updated for quite some time and hmm let me recap wat happened...haha well the only significant thing that i can recall is that i went for my GRE test on 3rd feb.. it was a really tiring n exhausting test that took nearly 4 hours to complete...my score was average... lol nothing impressive to talk about anyway soo... yup

7th feb was my dear niece's full month celebration! well to be exact.. she's my cousin's daughter...she's already growing to become a pretty girl... haha even her name is pretty~ megan! =X yup pics on facebook! she's so nice to hug n cuddle around la... but i dun really dare to... scared wait i drop her.. haha =X

and for the 1st time in my life.. i dyed my hair! i like the colour... it's ash brown~~ at 1st seems kinda bright but after u get used to it... or probably after washing it several times... it seems alrite~ yup...

and yea today is the last day of sch.. n of coz our own vday celebration... at 1st was supposed to be "make your own food" so that we all can share around... but in the end we still ended up exchanging gifts~ i'm impressed with the effort that the rest put into the gifts.. haha yea i liked them very much.. hope u all liked my gift too... took me eternity to make them k... haha

anyway it'll be chinese new year in like 2 day's time? but there's seriously no new year mood at all la! so much so that when 1 of my friends wished me happy new year.. i was like happy new year??? took me a while to register that cny was just round the corner... but yea anyway i'm done with my new year shopping =)

i remember a many posts ago.. i mentioned that i like dogs.. now when i think about it.. i think i know why i like dogs.. coz they make really good companions.. i mean if u owned 1... it will probably always be there for u.. be it happy or sad times..u can laugh with it.. cry with it... and as long as u treat it well... it will definitely appreciate u.. wag its tail at u to show that it is happy.. =) i'll live with a dog if i have to..

in the afternoon i tot of soo many things to write about..but now here i am...and i've forgotten most of wat i tot of.. crap man.. sign of ageing?? =(

anyway it's gonna be feb very very soon.. which means the 1st month of this year has come n gone.. wat have i achieved in this new year so far? well.. i did spend quite a bit on my new year clothes... 3 weeks of the semester has gone.. 10 more weeks to go and hey.. b4 u know it.. i would have graduated from nus already!

last wed i saw this advert on the straits times.. university of chicago offering a masters course in financial mathematics.. exactly fits into my "further studies" category.. something which is somewhat related to wat i have studied in uni.. a masters degree.. finance.. yea that's all i want~ so immediately i emailed the person n now i feel a little sian-ed by the application process.. have to take 2 tests that is rather similar to the SAT test which i sat for many years ago.. need 3 letters of recommendation from my math profs.. so far i've got 2 who have agreed to help me write.. and i think that is quite an achievement since they dun really know me at all.. i really do appreciate their help~

lots of assignments due next week.. 3215, 3111 and my gem assignment all due on mon n tues.. then wed is the GRE test i was talking about.. the 1 that is similar to SAT.. can u imagine that the test is 4 hours long! there r 2 sections on which we have to write essay la.. oh man.. not sure how i'm gonna fare for that section.. been soo long since i wrote an essay within a give time limit... =( and fri is my gem test.. next week is gonna be hell for me..

so anyway.. i guess i wont be working immediately after i grad.. afterall the masters course is just 1 year.. and hmm not going for honours could be a good thing? this i will have to wait n see~ so that is wat that has been keeping me bz for the past few days n many more days to come.. to prepare for the tests as well as to finish up my application coz it is due like on 15 feb.. so gotta chop chop finish things up~ then after that at least i can enjoy my chinese new year for a while.. b4 it's back to sch n midterm tests looms ahead~ doesnt look like i'll have a good break until after the exams.. but oh well.. it's always good to be kept bz... at least the mind doesnt start to wander n wont think of unnecessary stuff yup~

recently i'm kinda into this iphone/ipod touch game called doodle jump.. haha it's a paid app btw.. it's really addictive.. all thankz to kw la.. now some friends around me also addicted to the game..

i did some research on the web and saw on a few sites that said that potatoes r a good natural source for curing acne..not sure how true that is.. some say cut it up n apply directly to the acne.. some say blend it into juice n apply... and others advise u to eat more potatoes coz they r high in nutrients/vitamins etc.. very tempted to give it a shot to see if it works.. but my mama got me to a chinese sinseh at marine parade.. he looked at my condition.. took my pulse.. n prescribed 1 ultra bitter medicine which he said is very cooling.. will get rid of the heatiness in my body n treat the acne.. we shall see.....

we're getting closer to cny and yea i'm almost done with my new year shopping except for a pair of shoes... ahhh.. the problem with small feet... no size for your feet~...very limited designs.. sighs
other than that i will have to say that last wed.. my newyear shopping was pretty fruitful.. with 4 tops.. 1 jeans and 1 berms =)

i cant imagine myself working in a few month's time.. it feels too soon.. but yet i m very eager to go out n work.. to get the experience needed from the working world.. to meet more people and of coz to learn new skills while on the job.. many of these cant be bought with $ so i'm pretty much looking forward to working full time

school so far is alrite.. i mean i could understand MOST of my mods... hmm

i believe that things happen for a reason... and if u keep trying, but to no avail.. well i believe that it's a sign.. to tell u that it is never going to work out.. so perhaps it could be time to drop the idea totally n live life for yourself..

for instance.. if 1 person keeps buying 4D everyday and never strikes... i believe it is a sign to tell u to stop gambling.. n focus on more impt stuff in your life.. dun tell yourself that luck isnt on your side... coz i believe there is no such thing as luck.. things turn out the way they are becoz of us.. our every decision n action plays a part and ultimately results in wat we are today

it's back to sch and i know i'm a little slow coz week 1 of sch has already ended lol!

i gotta feeling~~~~~~ that this sem's gonna be a good sem~~ that this sem's gonna be a good good semmm~

lol anyway.. i only have 2 core mods this sem.. plus 1 stats mod.. and 2 electives~ of the 2 electives... 1 of them i plan to s/u it and the other is a very mathsy biz mod that many of my friends say is worth taking.. so we shall see how it goes!! wooo

this sem's timetable isnt the best i've had.. with 2 days that i have 8am lectures.. the remaining days r 10am... which means not enough sleep here so i better still have my free wed after tut balloting is over~ =) school so far is still manageable...at least i still understand wat the lecturers r talking about during lectures yea so it is a very good sign.. oh yea i have a lot of breaks in between my lectures... can u imagine between every lecture on mon and thurs is a 2 hour break.. and for tues and fri... it is a 4 hour break! oh mann... wat can i do to pass time?

anyway on wed had sakae buffet with uni friends~ turnout: 7 ppl... and for once! there were more guys! wahaaha.. just a fun fact la.. =X the sushi was alrite.. only 1 particular dish that we ordered was a massive turnoff.. it's supposed to be i dunnoe what but when i ate it.. it was cold... cold as in the kind of cold when u take food out of the fridge that kind of cold.. and the fish is cooked! and it tasted err..sour? eeewwwww... 1 bite n we never touched it again~

fri = frog porridge n rochor tau huayyyy~~ =) tau huay is my all time fav dessert if nobody realised.. haha so while the rest were chatting away.. munching on their youtiao n soy bean milk.. i was happily enjoying my tau huay haha smooth silky tau huay~ ahha =X

sat is sarpino's with deloitte friends~ or at least some of the deloitte friends... coz apparently some1 only asked the few of us... hahaha but yea..sarpino's pizza is goood =) had a good chit chat after that n then it was soccer time for mee~ but recently felt really sian of watching soccer matches lei.. how ar.. it's the thing that i look forward to every weekend and now i dun feel excited about watching a soccer match at all =/

1 interesting thing about this year is the day that every1 is talking about... vday~ coz this year the 1st day of cny happens to be on the 14th of feb.. St. Valentine's Day.. haha good thing for me is that for once~ i might not be left out coz i'll be at my relative's place and wont be out there to witness all the lovey dovey, chocs n roses, hugs n kisses etc.. and i'll probably be bz collecting angbaos that i would forgotten about vday haha! but then again.. vday is friendship day tooo.. but yea it does feel weird having 2 big (contrasting) occasions on the same day

hello everybody! it's 2010!

well in the last few days leading up to 2010.. i was really left pondering.. wat will happen to me in this new year..graduation.. joining the work force.. really made me feel rather insecure.. also my 1st trip overseas with friends

anyway! 31 dec was countdown with deloitte friends! a pretty small gathering as compared to previous years.. this time round there's just the 7 of us.. but yea was good enough.. still had lots of fun n laughter all the time~ dinner was astons and very good..prob coz some of us were really hungry by then haha after that we played games.. watched the ultra long fireworks.. and i must say the fireworks this time was rather impressive! the view from the hotel room was great and so was the wine =) we all toasted for the new year! and after that was more games n of coz a few hours of slp to end it all.. haha! this is our 3rd countdown together already and i really hope it wont be the last.. more to come yea? =)

then on the 2nd of jan.. guess wat! it's genting time with uni friends! 9.30pm was the departure time for the coach and thruout the journey didnt really sleep much..but i guess so did the rest.. haha! only towards the end when we were twirling around... climbing up the mountain to our final destination, genting, did i get some well deserved sleep.. though i think not for long.. coz a while later.. we reached the bus terminal already and yea it was 4am in the morningggg... then we had breakfast at macs.. nua-ed at the hotel lobby.. waited to check in... until around 11 or 12+ then did we get our room.. woo wanted to nap for a while but then came yewwei and xuanang.. then it was off to lunch and after that we went walking around... played arcade.. went to sing ktv and dinner was included too.. after that it was pool!

2nd day was theme park day n it was very foggy that day... especially towards the afternoon due to the rain.. great weather! very cold but haha woo and i must say that the helmet that i wore for the go-kart there was smelly beyond words!!!! seriously.. if u can.. bring your own helmet for that ride...

day 3 and it's KL day~ hopped onto the bus that goes back n forth between genting n KL.. the driver is crazy.. just looking at the way he drives is really scary.. anyway at KL.. they all shopped n shopped while i just cant find anything good/nice to buy.. well some of the stuff r really cheap but i really cant find anything :( looks like i gotta do my new year shopping in sg~

day 4 - back to sg... basically every1 did some last minute shopping here n there n we were on the bus home at 2pm =) slept almost thruout the bus ride... was so tired that i fell asleep while watching a horror show la.. cant believe it haha! =X reached sembawang sunplaza at around 8+ and that marks the end of my genting trip with my uni friends =)

all i can say is that the hotel room is really freakin small! no wonder so cheap la.. the bathroom rite.. u can barely turnaround at all la.. and haha oh yea i love the breakfast there.. it's like buffet style but i only aim for the cereals =X i will go for some cooked food 1st.. then toast..and to end off... always leave the best for the last and yeaa cereal~ hahaha my parents dun understand me.. wat is so nice about cereals.. haha i dun understand too.. but i just love it =X

anyway yea it's back to sg.. and very very soon.. it's back to sch.. but hey.. i'm not sad cozzz.. it's gonna be my final sem! gonna graduate at the end of this semester so i'll aim to make it a good one.. after graduation.. it's on to the working world n my target is of coz to earn enough $ to support my parents and bring them on overseas trips.. to give my gf (if i ever successfully woo one) a good life, not to let her suffer and if possible..support her parents in a way or another~ lastly.. to give myself a good life too haha =) cheers to 2010!!!

7 dec - mahjong at kristin's house! haha her dog is damn cute n very obedient laa... so amazed! but too bad it injured 1 of its hind leg... if not i think she will be rather active 1..will run here run there kind..

8 dec - went to sing k at topone! very smelly place and they dun have much english songs.. hahaa eeee i think teo heng got more english songs lor.. too bad teoheng is rather inaccessible for many ppl.. if not can go there.. it's cheap too! and can bring in outside food n drinks haha =X after singing we went walk walk at bugis street n bugis junction.. saw the top..tempted to buy coz i dunnoe how 2 say but it's really nice and just nice suits my little makeover mentality ahaa oh wells.. still can go kl to shop~ hopefully it's cheaper there... though my hopes r not high ahhaa

11 dec - went to watch feng yun marathon! hehe from 9pm watch all the way until 1.30am la.. towards the end damn shagged liao.. almost fell asleep during the show haha! feng yun 2 not very nice lei.. as in the storyline very bland.. but the effects r woo!

12 dec - bbq at east coast with deloitte peeps! also of coz to celebrate esther n fil's bday! 1st time we r bbqing together and it was an interesting experience.. 1st time use those diy pits to bbq and it turned out not too bad... as least better than wat i initially expected.. haha!

then 16-18 dec was my very short trip to phuket! phuket is fun! too bad we only stayed there like for those days.. and we only had 1 full day to tour! coz me n my family reached there like 16th evening... had dinner then watch a show.. the show comprised of many segments..got dance..magic show..acrobats.. animal show.. yup.. couldnt take any photos coz they were very strict... had to deposit cameras n video cams there... handphones not exempted too.. =\

17th dec we went on a sightseeing tour that was the best experience of the whole trip.. haha the offshores of phuket r many tiny islands... some of them rite.. the mangroves in the middle of the island r only accessible thru caves... so we took a big boat out to sea... then from there... had to canoe thru the caves to the mangroves.. in total we visited 3 islands and it was a great experience... towards the end.. there was a swimming segment but i didnt swim.. chose to play around with their canoe and it was fun! ahhaa never tried canoeing b4 =X

then had seafood for dinner on that day and hmmm TIGER PRAWNS DAMN HUGE hahaha for more.. see facebook for pics! =D

came back on friday morning so didnt really spend much time at phuket.. but it was great! yea! haha

22 dec - resultsss! ahh my cap increased by 0.01 so haha i'm happy =X as long as it goes up.. i'm satisfied.. all i can say is some mods i expected to do well.. didnt do well... some mods i expected worse... turned out well.. so it all balances out to make me a very mean (average) person.. haha!

23 dec - steamboat with uni peeps!! it was just yesterday and i'm still feeling the withdrawal syndrome.. hahaa! prob too tired.. gift exchange was fun.. like how some ppl didnt wan a certain gift but end up getting it.. i think it happened twice.. to yw and his piglet cushion and jinlin and her mug/cup...
i find it so fascinating that soo many ppl can be fascinated by the 3D pic i have in my dining hall.. they could just stand all staring at the pic haha and the delighted looks when they get to see the 3D pic is just so amusing.. ahah!

it's still rather early for new year wishes n stuff but since i m in the mood for blogging.. why not? hahaa 2009 hasnt been a rather good year for me in all aspects... will definitely wish that 2010 will be a better year! coz 2010 will be the year that i graduate.. i get my 1st perm job... and who knows what other firsts i will have in 2010? =) being able to work means it's gonna be financial independence for me.. and i guess i wont keep the full amount to myself.. will definitely give some to my parents who have brought me up to where i am today.. i wont be here without them n i really wan to repay them in any way that i can..

2010 will be a great year for me i'm sure! coz i will be praying for a smooth sailing year ahead.. no doubt there will be ups n downs but that is all part of life and hey.. i will prevail! so anyway here's wishing every1 a merry xmas and a great 2010!!

wooohooo~ hurray~ hurray~ it's the holi-holi-day! lalalalala...lalalalala...holi~~holi~day!!

ok i think this post is kinda slow coz my holidays started 1 week ago? haha but this sem i just dont feel the "YES!! exams finished" feeling..probably coz i know the papers were sucky.. but oh heck~ december beckons! =D

shall not talk about exams... how about after exams? haha! immediately after the 2132 paper.. me n kw rushed down to marina to meet the rest for movieee.. watched mulan.. haha i liked the show coz i tot it had lots of meaning behind the words they used..not so much for the action n love story.. lol and zhao wei looks nothing like a guy..sounds nothing like a guy too..hoho

after the movie it was xiao long bao buffet!

had lots of fun n laughter over dinner and yea.. it was great... after that..it was the 1st time that i walked from holland v back to buona vista mrt.. never tried that b4.. not a very long walk =)

then did a little new year shopping and got myself 2 tops muahaha more clothes to come!.. went swimming b4 that and really lo.. very difficult to go swimming nowadays coz of the cranky weather.. it can be sunny this minute and very cloudy the next minute.. and then it would start pouring after that... just in an instant! so i gambled my luck and hey.. it was cloudy all the way so not too bad.. at least it didnt rain~ =)

then saturday.. we went rollerblading! been quite some time since i last bladed.. and i'm still pretty unbalanced when it comes to blading.. haha and considering the fact that i fell only twice... it's a vast improvement from my last blading session where i remember i got knocked down by a bike... that girl must be dunnoe where the brakes on her bicycle is.. Zzz haha but yea it was a fun n very tiring session... be there to blade more!! =)

well it's the last test of the sem tmr.. science of music.. hoho! then finals! oh man! but seriously dunnoe why this time round really no sense of urgency to study at all.. probably too used to uni system already.. tests n exams have become a norm.. so much so that i was still playing games the night b4 my 3233 test last week.. haha sian!

yup and after that 3233 test.. went to holland v together with maths peeps for a "sit back n chillax" session~ we went pass 3 monkey and the place looked awfully familiar.. then kw pointed out that that was where the ris low interview was conducted! ahhhh!! the 1 where she introduced shingz to us and now boomz doesnt seem like a LOUD word to use already.. haha! but anyway we had dinner to breko..i enjoyed my burger~ haha not sure about the rest and was too full for icecream already... hehe~

this week is the last week of sch and monday was like the 2nd time that i had a meal outside science.. getting quite sick of science food already but yea the sem is ending already~ cant wait for hols coz this hols... i'm going on holiday with my family... and then another with my uni friends hoho! cant wait!

i rewatched a few movies over the weekend... bolt... wall.e.... transformers not part 2.. haha i havent watched part 2 yet.. =X and music n lyrics...was listening closely to the lyrics of way back into love n oh man...

seriously arr.. these few days getting veryyy hot... so hot until i dun need to on water heater arr.. and i can bathe with almost boiling water! it's definitely warmer than the usual water heater shower.. oh man.. mother nature really buay song liao... earthquakes...floods... rising temperatures.. nOoooOooo

got back science of music results and didnt do well.. hah kinda expected it... considering the fact that i had another paper on the same day... a much tougher paper than som... oh well~~ more tests coming up very soooooooon! like on 6 nov and 12 nov! and both dates happen to be bdays of some1 i know.. haha! i have 4 weeks and 4 days more to go b4 my 1st paper..the dreaded finals! ahh

ppl always say never look back.. always move forward.. that's wat i have been trying to do...and so far it has been working pretty well until yesterday... shall not go into details but i just hope that it wont affect me that much =) fax will survive!!

yeaaa! finally done with all my mid term testss! shall not comment on them coz it's just sigh... haha! all i have to say is that the modules are getting tougher all the time!!!

can u imagine last time when we took calculus ma1102... it was like waa uni maths so tough.. come to think of it.. after doing so many higher level modules.. 1102 isnt that bad but shall not look back coz in life.. must always look forward =)

a lot of ppl have been asking me why did i choose to minor in stats.. if wanna minor.. should minor in something different from maths ma.. the thing is.. stats isnt really very similar to maths is it? i chose to minor in stats coz it's different from maths but yet not too different until i m unfamiliar with it..i will definitely struggle if i did econs or something very different from my discipline

then this brings me back to the qn that i have been thinking... honours or not? i will go for honours if i m in the safe region where i can more or less safely say that i will get a 2nd lower hons degree.. but the thing is.. with my currently situation.. i could just qualify for honours but could just jump down to a 3rd class too...which would be like a real waste of time..sighh..why arent things as straightforward as they are in sec sch or jc... where every1 just get the same degree...same duration..same subjects...

then the next headache is when i graduate.. wat kind of jobs would i wan to go for... the applying part.. the working part.. headaches n stress in this world is neverending.. even mother nature also stressed up until earthquakes everywhere! it's like every 2-3 days sure got 1 country tio earthquake.. it's quite scary...i dun wanna die yet...i wan to live!! =X

recess week has come n gone... havent done anything productive this recess week haha no mood to study or do anything leii.. haiyoo

1 thing i hate is when people pangseh... put aeroplane...watever u call it.. if the reason is acceptable.. i'm alrite with it.. but i just simply cannot stand it when ppl just last minute say cannot make it.. why? tired la.... lazy la... and the problem is when they say count them in and in the end.. never come.. Zzz i rather not count u in in the 1st place....piss me off only

oh well not worth getting angry over these kind of ppl.. yup yup anyway had my 1st test of the sem last fri... ma3233 and i already found out 1 careless mistake that i made.. haha seriously.. must be the after-effects of my food poisoning just b4 the test.. yup.. had food poisoning which started on tues nite.. and lasted until thurs...tues nite was only shivering in my bed.. couldnt get to slp.. sighhh then wed came the horrible day... felt nausea... felt like vomitting and diarrhoea for the whole day! didnt eat anything for that day.. only had 2 meals on thurs... and it was diarrhoea for the whole of thurs... crap man... and fri was my test.. didnt really study much so i dont hope for anything good for this test.... hahaha

then it was timbre on saturday with yewwei serene and jinlin... it wasnt their usual resident band schedule.. coz it was the build up to F1 so they had guest bands n singers for the whole week that leads up to F1 day starting from saturday.. which is the day which we went.. and the jazz band..i must say was rather disappointing..no singing... only instrumental all the way... i quite like instrumentals but not sure about that one.. =(

on sunday yea manchester derby day! hoho i'm still recovering from the shock of that match! hahaa it ended 4-3..united of coz winning it xD ahha! but the thing is michael owen scored the winning goal! inside injury time! 6 mins of injury time played already when they only signalled to have just 4mins..haha woooooOoo hooooo

yesterday is kristin's party at downtown east~ the food i tot was pretty ok.. it's provided by costa sands de..so i tot it'll be pretty bad but turned out alrite haha i tot we reached quite late..but still got time to chit chat... joke around b4 cake cutting.. haha i tot i'll reach home quite early.. coz in the east ma.. but i was home too late to catch the F1 qualifying.. but yeaaaa hamilton got pole position! and vettel in 2nd place hoho! but i got home in time to see united score their 2nd goal! hahaa

i think i'm probably in my last year of undergrad studies already...and probably it's about time to slowly think about wat i should be doing when i graduate~ with the economy slowly picking up...should be a good time to start job searching too eh? if all else fails.. there's always plan b... eat shit n die lor.. haha nahh jk.. was thinking of doing masters.. but a masters degree wont be of any advantage unless it comes with some work experience.. so no matter wat.. i think i should work 1st b4 i start on my masters.. should i decide to do it.. there's always time to time about it.. now is definitely not the time.. with 2 tests coming up next week and another 2 the following.. muahaha pls wish fax good luck for the upcoming tests.. coz he's barely prepared at all... noOoooo

it's great to see so many friends setting up blogshops.. sort of like a mini investment for themselves.. seeing all these actually made me think that probably i should make an investment of my own... thought that it would be good that i could go into a mini business venture? of coz not blogshops..but many ppl have said that it's never easy to maintain your own business~ =\

been a longggggg longgggg time since i updated and yea~ sch has started already but b4 that.. would like to say...

congrats jie! her church wedding was on the 8 of august and the traditional customary chinese wedding things and the dinner banquet was on national day! so we missed the parade.. missed the fireworks.. and missed the 1st episode of singapore idol! haha but the whole thing was a great experience. i mean it's the 1st time i really experience wat goes on behind the scenes and the months/days/weeks in the build up to the actual wedding event.. it's a really tedious affair that is likely u keep u bz all the time..

i wouldnt say it was all that great for me...hard to say la.. all i can say is that all the time, my parents are like "jiejie this and jiejie that" sometimes i just feel so left out... and for the bridal table for dinner... we have 5 seats for our side.. so it's like 2 seats for my parents.. 1 for my sis and 1 for me.. and my mum kept asking me to bring my gf along -_-" told her dunnoe how many times.. i dun haveeeee...sometimes it just gets on your nerves.. not that i dont want.. it just isnt my time yet.. sigh probably it isnt meant to be for me to have a gf at all.. luck is never on my side.. but i keep telling myself.. 只要不放弃，就会有奇迹！but time is running out.. i dunnoe how long i can believe in this phrase! sometimes i just tell myself.. it's time to move on... so should i.. or should i not?

work has finally ended! and wat can i say.. this is probably going to be the last time that i'm going back there to work..it's highly likely that i'm going to graduate next year so i guess i'm joining the work force pretty soon and that's a very scary thought

this time round..work wasnt as eventful as the previous time but it was still a great learning experience.. got to meet new ppl.. new friends.. interacted more with "old friends"...got to know them much better and yea.. i didnt regret going back to work this time.. =) even though i fell sick during the last week of work.. Zzz~!

bidding has started and i must say this is the craziest bidding that i m going thru...3220 costs 500... and now st2132 is like going at 300 and wont stop increasing Zzz but oh well~

it's 1 more week to sch start n i am not in the least looking forward to school... at least not the mugging part... the lectures..tutorials... i can handle...but NOT the exams n tests....just sucky! and next sem's timetable isnt the best too... 6-8pm lectures again on tues and FRIDAY oh man...

national day's coming which means.. my sis's wedding banquet is coming too! exactly on national day! she's like trying to see whether we've got time at 8.22pm to recite the pledge.. hahaa sounds pretty cool! i'm actually getting rather excited... saturday is the church wedding..and it's the 1st time tat i'm gonna attend a church wedding... and hey! it's my sister who is getting married! yayyy hahaha

the month of august also means.....epl's coming back!!! soccer!! after a 3 month hiatus... finally! cant wait to sit in front of the tv set on saturday nights to cheer on man united again! hohoho!

time for updates!

work so far has been bz bz bz! even had to go back to work on weekends laa...but that means more ot pay =) haha

school will be starting in 1 month..i really dread starting school again! imagine..year 3 already! with all the chim mods left to be done! last sem's lvl 3000 mods werent all that enjoyable.. soo i guess next sem is gonna be more of a struggle~ checked out cors website and the lecture timings and exam dates are all out already.. can slowly plan timetable liao... sighhhhhhhhh

went for durian buffet last tues at carlton hotel~ and i must say though the durians are not top class ones.. they are pretty much close to "mao shan wang" standard already hahaa damn shiok! and i really mean durian BUFFET... it's unlimited supply of durians but of coz there's the main course part..desserts and all the standard stuff from what you would normally expect at a buffet =)

sis's bday 2 days ago~ we had dinner at lawry's! hahahaa! the steaks there are best best best! but on friday.. we had to be adventurous and order their 10th anniversary set which was horrible... really regretted not ordering their prime rib =( so my sis has finally joined the 3x club~ the club which many man and woman all fear joining.. but it's something that is unavoidable and thus i shall enjoy my twenties while i still can b4 i join my sis haha by then she'll be bz mentally preparing herself for 4x ahhaha! =X

on a side note.. still eyeing ipod touch and was browsing thru the apple website and saw that they are selling the current generation refurbished ipod touch'es! which is great news for me!! hahaa hMmMmmm

tmr is father's day.. and yea i'm gonna treat my family to a good meal tmr...but personally i feel that i can always treat my family any other day.. why must it be this day.. this is probably just another day set aside by ppl so that ppl will spend..just to name a few occasions.. mothers' day.. fathers' day.. valentines' day~ i find the latter the most absurd.. i mean the prices of roses on that day get inflated until more than 100%..it's just crazy... if u really love your other half.. make every other day a valentine's day too... why only 14 feb? it may be tiring...but i feel it's more meaningful this way!

work has been sian.. i mean for this moment.. u can be damn free.. walking around doing nothing.. just watching youtube.. then the next.. u get piled up with tons and tons of work.. fri was the case.. and i had been pretty unhappy the day b4.. and of coz fri itself.. that the work that piled up didnt help at all.. but i'm really glad with the company i have there... it's really starting to get real fun..

was chatting with fil the other day about her dog... i had always wanted a dog as a pet since young.. my father doesnt mind having a dog.. my sis definitely wants one too... it's my mum! she's scared of them and forbids us from buying them.. and she always uses the same excuse.. "in the beginning..u will treat them nice lar.. as time goes on.. it will become her responsibility to take care of it.. bathe it.. feed it..walk it.. etc" well i guess it's quite true... nowadays... i'm too tired to take care of myself when i come home from work.. let alone take care of the dog.. but that doesnt mean i m abolishing the idea of having a pet dog..

last weekend was the pc show and i didnt go down.. with fears of getting stampede-ed.. haha no lar.. didnt wanna squeeze with the crowd.. and besides.. there was nothing for me to get there.. except for the ipod touch that i have been eyeing.. definitely saved enough already.. just slowly procastinating.. coz my current mp3 player is still working fine so... i dunnoe.. zZz

ok ok... about time to update too...

the past week hasnt been great...fell sick...not h1n1 la~ haha
man united fell at the final hurdle to surrender the trophy to barcelona
and of coz results on fri was very disappointing..though i kinda expected it already

results results... i will have to do magnificently well for the next 2 sems if i were to have any chance of doing honours and getting a 2nd upper.. as for my cap.. it's currently out of the range that is needed to qualify for honours so yup i seriously needa buck up for year 3 and shall do watever it takes to pull up the disappointing cap that i now have

a few days earlier..planned to go to the marquee at raffles place to watch the uefa champions league final between barcelona and manchester united..being sick at that time..decided to watch at home instead and i must say...fortunately i stayed at home to watch..the match was really horrible! barcelona totally outplayed united but i'm still proud of united! we're still english champions =)

recently my life has been revolving around work..work and more work! it isnt really bz at my workplace..haha if u got a chance to see my laptop.. u'll know wat i mean..i have a few youtube windows open...i have an msn web messenger window open too.. my email inbox is full of rubbish...all of which are msgs to and from friends haha~ where else can i get a better job?? =X

last post was 11 apr!? that's more than 2 weeks ago =X haha okie time to update.. anyway i'm taking a short break from studying...afterall just finished a marathon of 3 papers in a span of 4 days...that's sat mon and tues which is yesterday.. the last paper really killed me.. =X

a friend reminded me that i'm gonna turn 1 year older pretty soon.. i replied with a very reluctant NoooooOooooo! she tot that guys are also afraid of getting old.. well partly true la.. but more imptly when i turn 23.. it means that exams will be 2days away only! but then again.. it means that hols r nearer too! =)

still no luck with my internship applications...wonder whether will i get accepted at all.. i dun wanna slack my 3 months of hols away.. at least do something meaningful...work or something... and i have this feeling that the 3 month hol wont feel like 3 months... it'll zoom past just like this sem =) sorry kw n jeslin for pangsehing u both for the prudential thing... it is good $..i admit BUT i dun see myself selling insurance in the future... so i dun see a point in taking up that internship yea? hope u both will have lots of fun

recently weather has been rather cranky... still remember on thurs.. which was hmmm 2 days ago? i was walking home from the train station.. soo bright and sunny la.. i tot it'll be a good walk home... halfway thru.. started to get cloudy... then abt 5mins away from my house.. it started drizzling.. when i reached home not long after.. it started raining gumballs.. hah no la.. it started pouring.. really POURRRRRR..... mind u.. this extreme weather change occured within a span of just 20mins.. yea i take 15mins to walk home and a lot of ppl ask me why dont i take the bus.. the average waiting time for the bus is also around 15mins.. so i might as well just walk home.. save $ save time.. and it's good exercise haha!

we're fast approaching the end of sem and this means lots of deadlines and finals coming up! just submitted a project last week... i have a presentation on tues and an essay to submit on thurs, then i think there's lab assignment due on fri... aiya still got lots of stuff left to do even though we're left with only 2 weeks of school

for past few weeks.. my life has been revolving around 21st bdays, 扫墓-ing and project... sounds rather dull but hey.. wat more can u expect when u're in uni and it's the last few weeks of the sem.. haha

well this is life... people say that your future isnt written yet... u make the decision that affect the outcome... but somehow i dun agree with that... here's my support as to why i think so.. many of us i'm sure will have experienced de ja vu b4.. it's like u dreamt abt something and this exact same scene sort of occurs many days after that dream had taken place.. and somehow u feel obliged to just follow exactly wat u did in that dream... yea? i have always been fascinated by this phenomenon coz it's like being able to tell the future..and so far i dun know of any scientific reasons behind this so if any1 know how this occurs...pls do let me know yea? i am really fascinated by it... so if there's no scientific proof or watsoever to support it.. then this has got to be "fortune telling" and hence our future is already written.. just that we dun know about it.. haha =)

anyway back to real life.. i ALMOST ALMOST had a chance to drive a manual car today... after 3 years since i got my license.. i havent driven a manual car and today i almost did.. actually it's my father's company's van... went to buy stuff from ikea and it's too bulky to fit into the family car... then i happily suggested taking his company's van... but after a while.. my dad decided to let the ikea ppl deliver the stuff... Zzz

1 more thing i would like to rant about the ugly side of ppl.. i absolutely despise ppl who take advantage of others.. not just physically but yea.. u know wat i mean.. sometimes on the train during peak hours.. i usually stand in the middle of the carriage and hence have the privilege of space n air.. haha occasionally i would see guys who just happily squeeze in between gals.. and i'm not being racist or wat but these guys always seem to be of that particular race..just cant stand it.. go look for some1 who would give herself to you la.. stop poaching on innocent parties

not just that..there's also ppl who take advantage of others for their own benefits.. i remember during army... my supervisor see me easy 2 make use of...then the rest of them can fall out already and i had to stay back to help out la.. not just 1 occasion.. MANY... that's just the surface of it.. shall not go deeper.. the thought of it just makes me pissed..

shall not think of unhappy stuff.. should be happy yea.. finally there's soccer to watch tonite and there was f1 just now.. i sound like i'm watching a lot of sports when i should be doing work... ehh.. not true la.. haha though i have to admit i watched MIB, the day after tomorrow, i am legend and eurotrip over the past week.. haha all nice shows =)

havent updated for quite some time.. haha oops but cannot blame me laa.. been bz with lots of stuff... there's ss test..st3131 project...ma2213 lab assignment...lots of tutorials and 21st bdays to attend... yea so even though midterms have ended... it's still bz bz bz...

ss test 2 was only 2 days ago... felt that it was much tougher than the 1st test... bad sign.. haha shall work harder =X discussed 3131 project on fri... sort of the whole day was spent discussing it.. haha even during lecture.. yeaa and meeting ended at around 7.40? haha was damn tiring

alrite let's recap wat went on during the past 2 weeks... hMm.. there was jesmine and jeslin's 21st bday parties on the 15th and 21st... also my 1st tuition session with this sec 3 tutee.. i'm teaching physics.. cant believe it.. oh yea and kahwoon's 23rd bday on 23rd.. haha! i'm turning 23 on 23rd too.. just different month =P.. yup yup other than these... guess there's nothing much to update? haha life's been pretty boring

week 10 of this sem just ended... means it's getting closer and closer to the finals.. time is creepily flying! how can time go by so fast without us noticing.. 3 more weeks of school is all that's left! whoa.. and then comes the magical 3 month holiday haha time is such a weird phenomenon... people say time flies when u're having fun.. i guess it flies faster when u're kept bz with school work.. haha and i dun think many ppl realised.. but i'm very particular abt time.. i dun like ppl being late.. i hate being late.. ppl who come late once or twice or 10-20mins.. yea i can accept that.. but it's those who frequently do so and come more than 30mins after the agreed meeting time that make things unbearable.. haha dun get me wrong.. reporting late for lectures is alrite.. i do that all the time for 3110 =X but yea if it's arranged to meet somewhere at 12noon...and ppl start turning up at 12.45..1pm...2pm.. then wat's the point of setting a time..the 1 who is late can just apologise and think all's well again..but think of the rest who had to wait... they had to waste that amount of time waiting instead of doing something productive.. it's just not fair.. wat pisses me even more is that people set a time...then happily happily change it and just inform 1 person..expecting that 1 person to relay the msg..

if i made any1 upset with wat i said... dun take it to heart alrite? i'm not aiming any1.. haha just commenting from past experiences =) cheers!

midterms finally over! ppl always say leave the best for the last... the best was indeed the last.. 2 papers back to back on the same day..

let's recap midterms.. it all started with 3252 on the 3rd of mar... in my opinion.. the worst paper among all.. then it was my ss on the 5th... think it was very manageable.. followed by 2213 on fri 6th! had to wait until almost 1 week for my next 2 papers which are 3131 (regression!! hoho) and 3110 which was yesterdayyyy~

so glad that midterms r over.. havent been able to concentrate on tutorials or lectures coz of midterms so now it's time to catch up again~

i last updated over a week ago so let's recall wat happened... nothing much happened.. or at least nothing worth mentioning.. haha =X except for fri which is the day b4 vday~ thankz to chianwen jeslin jesmine(very belated) jinlin and serene for their gifts and of coz we(me kw yw benjy) had gifts for them and many more~ then i had a break that day from 2-4... the period where nobody was free... but good thing i had fil's company for a while.. n passed to her her gift =)

saturday was at home the whole day doing tut.. haha daddy decided to cook/grill for dinner... it's nice =) home cooked food.... grilled saba.. steak.. bratwurst sausage (how do u spell it.. not a clue =X) then there was salad..and... sashimi!!! wahaha

today went swimming again.. every wed has become my swimming day.. there's no other day for me to go swimming la.. weekdays would be spent in sch.. except wed of coz.. sat sun.. i believe the pool would be packed.. doubt i'll be able to make it out alive with so many ppl splashing about.. hee

recently have been sourcing for companies for me to do my internship.. didnt know the process can be so tedious.. i came across 1 application form that would take forever to fill up la.. with questions that require us to answer them in essay form.. it's been 4 years plus since i last wrote an essay... just hope that all goes smoothly yea!

okay so to pick up from where i left off.. hmm.. 30th jan.. that's friday.. i managed to get through my presentation/review for 3252.. it was rather nerve-wrecking at first but as it went on.. i warmed up to it and yea.. it's overrr! hahaha

saturday met the dt peeps for newyear visiting.. played tabletennis.. mj and blackjack.. hoho i never knew tabletennis could be so fun.. maybe we should play somemore.. blackjack was fun la.. lost quite a bit that day but just for the fun of it la.. not like i play that very often.. =)

sunday met up with my jc classmates to visit our maths tutor.. now she's the vp of tj already.. caught up with my classmates n of coz our tutor.. the jc syllabus seems to have changed quite a lot..rather thankful that i'm not doing this current syllabus.. need to do humans.. then got dunnoe wat weird combi.. headache ar..

then it was school as usual for the week except for friay~ haha had a reunion lunch with uni friends~ dunnoe why is it a reunion thing when we see each other almost everyday.. haha but yea b4 we had lunch, me kw n jinlin had some sushi from cold storage.. coz too hungry already.. then i think it's coz of the sushi that gave me a stomach upset..oh well..

after lunch, i headed over to expo to meet soonhui n yf at the nike expo sale.. junrong came later and HEY.. we have 4 ppl.. just nice for mahjonggggg hahaha =X got myself a man united jacket and shirt and a shoebag from the sale.. =) mahjong was horrible at 1st.. coz yf kept winning... lucky towards the end i had a 5 tai..zi mo somemore..so won a bit from there =D haha

oh yea.. nadal's king of the hardcourt at he australian open! hoho! a good match but i would say that the semi finals between nadal n verdasco was better.. haha but yeaaa!

went to nussu bash to support serene in the pageant on saturday! she didnt win anything but i'm sure it was a great experience~

sunday was cny eve.. went over to my uncle's house for prayers n reunion lunch.. my cousin's dog is damn cute..smart n stupid at the same time haha then after that we went home for some last minute spring cleaning b4 we had our own reunion dinner.. just the family at long beach seafood xD ate my fill.. hoho!

new year's day was spent visiting ONE house.. and then relatives came over to our house for dinner n of coz mahjong! those who didnt get to play mahjong went over to play monopoly.. lol!

day 2 was steamboat at my house... plus "lo hei" too~ but the mood was pretty much gone already.. coz next day every1 had to go back to work.. to school.. yea even though i have no sch on wed ahaha =X

i feel that this year's cny mood isnt there... no idea why.. numb already? =\ anyway it's back to school tmr.. and tutorials are starting already! that's a sign of more work to come.. week 3 of sch.. 10 more weeks to go! wa ha ha and then it's the great 3 month holiday! looking so far ahead already.. january's not even over yet..

been watching the australian open for the past few days.. the business end of it is fast approaching... the match currently in progress is between nadal n simon with nadal 6-2 and 7-5 up.. 2 of the players i fancied got knocked out la.. djokovic n tsonga.. at least nadal still has a shot to go to the finals =) and i cant believe that nadal is 2 months younger than me! goodness!

week 2 of sem 2 is already half gone..and i'll have to say today was a rather eventful day... 1 of my math mods..3252 requires us to do a review of the previous lecture... like a short presentation during lecture.. and i was telling jeanie wont be so heng 1.... 100+ people... wont tio 1... today the lecturer announced that he has RANDOMLY(remember this word..) picked 2 names to do the 1st 2 reviews respectively... the 1st person to do the review.. wasnt my name... henggg.... then he said and this next person will review this friday's lecture.. did 1 month worth of holidays just went by? it didnt feel like 1 month.. but anyway.. back to reality.. back to school.. back to the beginning of the dreaded vicious cycle of uni life... but at least there's something worth looking forward to at the end of this sem.. a 3 month vacation!

well it's not a brand new academic year but hey.. it's a brand new 2009.. a new sem.. a new beginning.. 1st time i'm gonna try 4 core modules.. u can do it! and for the 1st time i'm using some lecture theatres that i've never used b4.. lt26..lt34..where's that man.. haha i do miss lt23 though.. not gonna use it for this sem.. but it's like i will definitely step into that lt for every sem since i started uni.. no lt23 this sem =X

weekend was spent...hm.. dunnoe whether was it fruitfully or not.. on sat went to attend this exhibition on australian property with my parents.. seems like a pretty good area to go into.. especially now with the exchange rate being very favourable for sing dollars

many of u should know that i absolutely hate reading... 1: i read at a veryy slow pace.. 2: the slow pace of reading makes me feel like sleeping and 3: becoz of the very slow pace.. i tend to re-read stuff just to understand it... but recently.. reading is wat that's keeping me going... it's 1 thing that keeps my mind from wandering n thinking too much..given the recent event... oh well...my hopes were high.. i'm serious abt it.. but the harsh reality had to come n hit me real hard

went out to jog today.. seeing that the sun was in a good mood.. i thought some sun would do no harm...besides, i needed the run to keep my mind off stuff n to keep my body going =) but i guessed i overdid it... ran too long n too fast for my body's liking... felt nauseous more than halfway thru my run... started to walk.. i swear at 1 point of time i almost blacked out... had to slowly make my way home.. ppl say it's good to push your body to its limit.. not in this case.. hmm well i'm pretty sure it's a case of mild dehydration =\

since new year's day.. i've spent every day alone.. coz my parents were away on a cruise n my sis is out everyday with bro-in-law to do up their new house.. go shopping for stuff for their house etc.. it's never good to be a lightbulb when it comes to this kinda stuff.. i mean they will definitely say it's ok or something.. but i'm sure they prefer to be alone.. yea..

anyway as i was saying.. my parents are finally back from their cruise and haiz.. my dad's back at work n so my mum's getting me to do all the spring cleaning in the house again.. after i did the windows a few weeks ago.. now she wants me to clean the tiles outside my house.. using those high-pressure jet cleaners.. haha well.. beats reading! =X

It's a new year! A brand new beginning!

it's always good to set targets for yourself.. in that way.. u will have something to work towards but targets should always be realistic.. no point aiming to become the strongest, fastest, highest in watever field... as the saying goes.. one mountain taller than another mountain (一山还比一山高）well for me, my target is simple.. to become better than wat i am. even if it is just a tiny little improvement, i think it is worth a pat on the back...a job well done..let's carry on improving

should u not achieve your target.. no point dwelling on it.. coz life still goes on...just move on and keep smiling! a smile does wonders... haha i guess that's 1 of my mottos in life...just keep smiling =)

have been pretty affected by recent events at home and among my friends..whether it is good or bad...should face the music and we shall see how it goes~

the last day of 2008 taught me some stuff... that tennis can be quite fun...that 11 people playing sparklers together can make me choke n gasp for fresh air (it was really that bad)... that people DO throw toilet roll down from high rise buildings to celebrate the new year... that people can snore really REALLY loud until i didnt even get 1 wink, let alone 40 winks....

i'm troubled over bidding matters.. i really dunnoe wat mods to bid for... running out of mods to take.. dun have the luxury of picking the mods like when i was in year 1.. now it's the mods that pick me.. and i cant be outbidded coz already very limited mods to take already.. haiz.. =X

anyway here's wishing every1 a happy new 2009! look forward to the new year n of coz the ox year that is approaching in 3 weeks time!

i got my 1st and only C grade in uni =X
i turned 22
my sister got married.. wat's left is the customary dinner thing which would be next year
my parents had their 30th wedding anniversary
i completed my 1st year in uni

new year's resolution? getting quite sick of this actually.. coz everytime i set a new year's resolution.. it never happens... so for the coming year.. i wanna try something different. no targets will be set. i will strive to do watever it is that is within my capability... in that way.. no matter wat the result is.. i dare say that i have no regrets.. that shall be my new year attitude! 不到最后，绝不放弃！

well xmas has come n gone~ but anyway.... MERRY XMAS every1! haha

results r out too.. didnt get my AAAAA but my cap did improve! as long as it keeps increasing.. i will have no complains =D who would!? ahha

the past few days have been very shiok for slping.. started since xmas eve... the rain was heavenly.. haha! for once i really loved the rain...made this xmas all the more significant.. coz that's the closest we r ever gonna get to having snow here...=) received some xmas gifts from my family n relatives... a new wallet from mama! an adidas tshirt from jie n i love this the most.. a united jersey from my cousin! haha! the classic jersey! ok la.. nt very classic but it still has the "sharp" logo.. xD cool... i like all the gifts in fact =X been looking for a tshirt n my wallet does seem like age is catching up.. haha

boxing day yesterday! went out to watch man united take on stoke city at the marquee together with cousin...=)

today was spent helping out at my dad's workplace...though it's closed for the festive season.. my dad is such a workaholic..

thurs 18 dec was spent celebrating fil's 21st bday at... u guessed it? MAD JACK! AGAIN! wahah but heng this time it was at the paradiz branch and well... i tried the beef lasagne on tues n it wasnt very good.. but the grilled fish on this occasion was definitely way better... =) fil.. hope u enjoyed yourself

saturday was spent nua-ing at home.. coz seriously nothing to do..

sunday.. which is today.. hoho so many soccer matches to watch la~ 6.30-8.30 there's man utd in a match to win the title of world champions! n yes we did it! though just by a 1-0 win.. then 8-10pm is singapore - vietnam.. singapore lost.. by the same scoreline...1-0.....and currently it's arsenal - liverpool.. a big match not to be missed even if u're not a arsenal or pool fan

been doing spring cleaning at home.. not sure whether it's to prepare for chinese new year.. i mean cny is still more than 1 month away... we clean now... it'll get dirty again just b4 the new year... so my guess is that my mother doesnt wan me to slack at home.. well.. point taken n i've cleaned windows..packed my room.. helped fix up the net thing onto the house gate.. and my mother wans to repaint my room... that's gonna be quite a task

feeling sleepy already. will update soon.. hahaha... well 1 thing bad abt hols i realised... at nite.. i feel sleepy.. but i cant get to sleep.. for 2 consecutive saturdays.. i have been watching soccer until 3.30am.. and i couldnt get to sleep until 5+ 6am..Zzz

there's something i realised abt my extended family... shorter ppl tend to drive bigger cars.. and vice versa for taller ppl.. i have 2 uncles who are well above the average height in singapore for men...1 is driving a hyundai getz and the tallest uncle.. prob abt 18+ close to 190..he's driving a nissan sunny... BUT 1 uncle.. about my height.. is driving a mercedez..i forgot wat model but it's a huge car and my dad.. shorter than me.. nissan cefiro.. i just find it hmm amazing..

yesterday met up with jc classmates joey n manish for a good solid catchup session.. haha joey's back from aust! the last time he was back.. i think i didnt manage to meet up with him.. but yesterday we met... had lunch at the food centre opposite tj.. =) brings back the good old days when we had lunch there in between lessons.. haha! still remember there was once when almost the whole class had kfc for lunch at bedok central.. lol!

anyway yea after lunch.. crapped for quite some time b4 we went to tj to roam around.. took some pictures.. haha

it's decemberrrrrr!!!! wooohooo and i'm done with my exams already! this time the feeling is great! last time when exams over.. it's like a feeling of great relieve... but this time i feel...i really feel the "yes!!" feeling.. that it's finally over.. it's like 雨过天晴.. probably coz this sem has been crazier than ever.. n i expect the next few sems to be equally bad.. if not.. worse...but for now.. should just rest n relax n enjoy the holidays that is worth waiting for.. haha

the weather has been pretty crazy that i cant go out to have a good run or swim la.. always like this.. when i dun wanna go out.. sun will shine very brightly.. perfect weather for swimming or running.. but when i changed already... geared up ready to go.. dark clouds start to fill the sky and all becomes gloomy.. Zzz y like that~~~~~

cant wait for xmas.. didnt spend xmas at home last year.. i hoped for a white xmas when i was at korea.. it wasnt white.. nowhere near snowy weather at all... Zzz but i did enjoy myself last year at korea.. =) but i'm not sure abt this year.. i'm a little afraid to go overseas right now.. seriously.. after hearing news abt the terrorist attack at mumbai a few days ago.. and thailand shutting the airport operations.. wat if i were to get stranded there.. i'll feel very insecure.. in fact last time i kena a few times when the flight had to be delayed due to some fault with the plane.. and that short few hours of delay already made me rather unsettled.. i admit i love my home..who doesnt? haha there's nowhere that i'd rather stay.. n in singapore.. that's where all my friends n relatives are.. if u wan me to migrate somewhere else.. sure.. on 1 condition.. that they all migrate there as well.. haha

that's if only if i get stranded in that country.. wat if.. i just died there due to some unforeseen circumstance? i would have left this world with plenty of regrets.. i will miss my family..relatives..friends.. i have so much to say to them..but yet plenty of times.. i just dun have the courage to speak up...

so yea... anyway it's hols~~~ so let's enjoy ourselves!! xD

after hearing about the mumbai incident... i find that going for holiday overseas can be quite scary.. u could be there for just 1 day to rest n relax and the next moment, that person ceased to exist anymore... it is disheartening to hear abt this singaporean's death... life is just so fragile...

just like the white tigers incident too.. another life was lost... oh well this just makes the world a lot more uncertain

1 paper down.. 3 more to go~ to those of u who took ma1104 last sem and still remember how shitty the paper was... my 2216 yesterday was just as bad.. those who watched lord of the rings probably remember a scene where gandalf fought with the monster in the cave..with this famous quote "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!" i can imagine my 2216 lecturer being gandalf... telling each and every1 of us that exact same quote when he is marking our scripts...it IS really THAT bad...

okay it's 21 nov...some of my friends from ntu have already finished exams...*glares at elaine n cousin pat* and mine's only starting tmr... seriously worried over tmr's ma2216 paper.. not that i cant do or wat.. but cannot afford to screw up... midterm's score is horrible... really horrible..hai..i spent 3 and a half days of my reading week purely on this mod alone.. hope that i'll get a decent grade

of coz i cant neglect my other mods.. which is y yesterday went out to study 2108 with kw n szehui... never knew that shilin had such yummy mushroom cheese crepes.. haha really satisfying =X or maybe coz i havent had a good meal for a longgg time... starbucks at the cathay is quite a good place to study..except for the occasional smoke from the smoking smokers...quite irritating... i m finally seeing some light for 2216 and 2108... jia you!!

my cousin got back her psle results yesterday.. she got 245... quite happy for her... wahaha so far in my family/extended family... i have the lowest psle score but hey.. life isnt all about grades and aggregate~ it's about how u live through it... i'm quite sure we wont go out into society applying "limit comparison tests" or "monotone convergence theorem" or go around saying "hey.. i know how to dy/dx"... Zzz just not right la.. haha employers wont employ u just coz u can dy/dx while others cant.. unless u're going into teaching..ahh then that makes a difference..

b4 i entered uni.. i expected uni to be a stepping stone to society.. to the working world.. where uni would teach skills that can be applied at work... interpersonal skills..social ettiquete..but all i get is mathematical analysis...numerical analysis... linear algebra... calculus... at least 1 mod that i find useful for life after uni is ma1100.. the part where the lecturer taught logic.. that can be applied anywhere..not just maths =D

for those who saw the tags n wonder wat lim sup is.. it's part of 2108 but the lecturer decided to leave it out for our syllabus xD anyway he was going thru past year papers... lim sup means limit of the supremum set... the lecturer pronounces it as "lim soup" and yea.. now the tags make sense =X

f1 on monday morning! final race of the season and though hamilton didnt win it... he won the championship..beating massa by just 1 point... now massa would be cursing the singapore circuit... that's where he and the ferrari team screwed up n lost his valuable lead in the race.. haha better luck next year!

heroes season 3! i realised i watch more shows during exam season.. after a rather disappointing season 2 to heroes.. i tot season 3 would be better and guess wat... it's way better than s2.. with lots more twists n it keeps the viewer thinking n guessing.. so far i'm done with episode 4 and lots more to go! aha!

means school term is ending really soon and exams are just round the corner! Zzz deadlines to meet.. assignments to hand in...tests to be done... not exactly the best way to end the sch term

attended elaine's 21st bday at aranda country club.. me fil yf and the bday girl met earlier.. to sing klunch.. -_-" after that went over to the room to help prepare for the party.. kbox was cool. managed to learn 1 new song just by listening to it ONCE.. and that song was stuck in my head for 1 or 2 days... S.H.E's 酸甜 haha oh mannnn... during the party we just sat in 1 corner and chat among ourselves.. kenneth did a stunt which left every1 around him stunned.. haha =X after most of the guests left.. we went over to play bowling at E!hub.. but there was a pretty long queue and we had to wait until around 3+ or 4 b4 we could get a lane..imagine 9 ppl playing in 1 lane.. crazy

1st november is my cousin's wedding! feel happy for her and my uncle n aunty... they had a smile on their face for the whole day laa...from the morning tea ceremony to the dinner at nite.. up next: my sisterrr hahahaha! she n my jiefu already registered with ROM la but the dinner n everything else is next year... for the relatives who kept asking me when is my turn.. lol i found an escape route to that qn... push everything to my sis =X haha i know i m evil but.. muAHHAhaha

anywayyy.. i remember reading this article on people being overly polite.. a very good senario would be on the train. An overly polite individual who sees an elderly person or pregnant lady board the train would carefully think through whether or not he should give up his seat.. for the "elderly" may not be as elderly as he/she seems n that might offend the individual and the "pregnant" lady may not be pregnant at all. For me, i've given up on sitting down on the train. It seems that everytime i find a seat, settle down comfortably, a "person who needs the seat more than i do" would always board the train at the next station. ALWAYS. where do they come from laa. 1 thing i really dun understand is why do people always crowd at the doors of the train. i always stand in the middle of the train and during peak hours, i see that the area near the doors are all soo cramped with people and yet there's enough space for me to do jumping jacks at where i m standing - in the middle of the carriage.

well recess week just ended and i must say.. it's 1 of the most unproductive recess weeks i have ever had.. wan to study but didnt study much! i did spend a lot of time studying but i guess nothing much actually went into this brain of mine.. Zzz

completed 1 mid term test.. 2 more to go! today's test.. much tougher than expected.. we were all expecting something similar to the sample test which the lecturer uploaded.. but whoa.. oh well.. shall not think about it already.. got to concentrate on tmr's paper.. linear algebra! ahh! another nitemare! oh yea.. just b4 sch ended for term break.. there was the mcq test for einstein's universe.. i'd say it's manageable.. but tough too.. ahh...results should be out this week...

24 sept was my parents' 30th wedding anniversary n they went on a short honeymoon that nite.. so lonely at home.. haha aiya.. they're coming back tonite! =P i feel kinda left out.. my parents' anniversary.. my sis rom this year... i'm like a lost sheep... mehhh..... -_-"

anyway today is mid autumn festival! or 中秋节！a lot of ppl have been correcting me on the term "月饼节"... personally i like the term... afterall mid autumn festival is also known as mooncake festival wat!

sch work is starting to come one after another.. workload slowly piling... and midterm break is approaching already! that's quite fast.. and that means that midterm tests r just around the corner.. no time to slack~but i have been slacking.. haha =X

had my 1st bio lab on wed and we got to use the microscope.. wonder how fulltime scientists survive.. thru-out the whole lab.. i was struggling to focus... look until eyes pain.. horrible. shift a bit only then 1 side become black..then sometimes got double images.. haiyo

watched wall.e about 1 and a half week ago.. a lot of ppl said that it's a nice movie not to be missed.. well.. i agree with them.. and yea it's 1 of the rare movies with no fanciful dialogue.. in fact there was not much dialogue at all... and i agree with jul that the movie is a perfect example of action speaks louder than words~ haha eeevaaa? =X

after the movie.. went to shop for my sis's engagement gift and got this for her =) (ignore the pikachus below lol)

haha with regards to my previous post.. would like to add in 1 more pointer...

Purpose(somehow reminds me of the tjc thing.. passion, purpose, drive... haha) - imagine a boat without bearings... just floating around aimlessly in the vast ocean.. that's like a person without a purpose...without a goal... we would have nothing to work towards and life could possibly seem meaningless from then on.. yup

anyway history was made on friday~ when our table tennis team beat south korea to reach the finals of the women's team event at the olympics.. our 1st medal since 48 years ago..and even though they lost to china during the finals.. we should still be proud of them.. it's not easy to go there n win a medal.. but i was kinda disappointed that they didnt telecast the preliminary rounds... only when the team reached the semi-finals..then they telecast the match live.. and THEN from then on.. suddenly every1 becomes patriotic.. =/

and that reminds me.. i forgot when was it but i think it was during either sec sch or jc that i competed in an inter-house badminton competition.. quite exciting actually.. the feeling of playing badminton during free time and in a competitive environment is really different haha oh yea.. still remember me n some of my jc friends actually formed a team n took part in a bowling competition during jc.. of coz we didnt win.. but we were not among the last.. that's something to be proud of hahaha =X

...somehow i think competition among people should be encouraged.. that will bring out the best in some of us while those who cannot take the pressure of it wont be able to survive.. but when it gets too competitive.. things get ugly.... hatred starts to form n who knows wat people will do just to be the best among the best? haha okok crapping already

opportunites rarely comes by... when u missed this 1.. u dont know when the next 1 will come.. or there's even another 1 in your whole lifetime

some ppl prefer to remain risk adverse, to stay in their comfort zone n hence forfeit the opportunity. some sit on the fence.. not sure whether to take it up n try avoiding it for as long as they can. others have the nike spirit... just do it~

i've learnt several things during the past year.. when i 1st joined deloitte... when the 1st year of uni started and ended... when i went back deloitte... and of coz.. when i watch man united play.. haha

Believe - when u set out on doing something... u should have a goal in mind... no matter how far-fetched the goal may be.. as long as u believe in it... nothing is impossible (so i shall believe tt i can achieve AT LEAST 1 A grade for this year haha)

Persistence - even when almost all hope seems lost, as long as there is a glimmer of hope lingering... never give up.. for the answer may just be round the corner.

Consistency - if u r inconsistent in your work, shows that u dun really understand or u didnt put in the effort to make your work a good 1...

haha well this sounds something like a new year's resolution.. hmm well it's gonna be my "new academic year" resolution and it all pivots on that 1 word.. BELIEVE

3 months of holidays gone just like that.. i wouldnt say it was a fruitful 1 but good.. =) had a good break from studies.. though work was rather tiring too

gonna work hard for this sem.. past 2 sems still trying to adapt and of coz there were distractions.. haha and i was lazy of coz..ponned a few lectures here n there.. hoho =X haiya

last fri was 08/08/08~ and dt temps met up for kbox~ ok not all.. only 4 of us.. and i never knew that a 10min song existed until they sang qing ge wang.. i was like whoaa.. i only know parts of the song.. haha coz it's a medley...yea yea quite cool... later on fil n huiru joined for dinner..didnt really enjoy the dinner.. too much rice.. ZZZz

saturday was national day~ stayed home with my parents to watch the parade... i fell asleep a few times throughout the parade.. haha basically every year the same 1 lei.. quite predictable.. probably that's wat bored me to sleep.. =X

yesterday was huiru's 21st bday party... she looked like she enjoyed it.. n hope she likes our present... we took quite a long time to decide on the gift... after walking 千山万水... hahaha my chinese nt v gd...dunnoe whether is that how u use it.. but u get wat i mean.. =X

it's the period of graduation/convocations~ haha

attended my sis's convocation yesterday at nanyang auditorium...this is her 2nd convocation already.. lol the first 1 was at monash uni.. we had to fly over to australia and drive all the way to the campus for that.. good experience though haha

while at the auditorium.. was thinking to myself.. i would be graduating in a few years' time.. to join the work force for good, never a student again.. that sounded daunting... is uni the last few years of your life that u can enjoy? or a stepping stone for us..to better prepare ourselves for the world that lies ahead

=) was rather inspired by the guest speaker for the convocation ceremony..he touched on "life expectancies" men...on an average live up to 79.2 years of age... women.. on the other hand...live 5 years longer..on average... possibly to make up for time spent in the bathroom.. LOL that's not the point.. his point was... these are only average figures... based on a group of ppl..and the fact is.. we wont know if we will live up to 79.2 years or beyond.. some might just drop dead right after convocation... so why get involved in these figures.. live life like there's no tmr.. make the most of life.. after all.. these figures r merely averages... if we follow them... wont we..be average too? we havent come this far just to be...average... so give everything your best shot n expect nothing in return.. if some1 needs help.. help them in every way that u can...love them with all your might and expect nothing in return~ cool rite

been receiving quite a few comments on my hair lately.. some say it's nice... not bad... my parents say i eat too much durian until my hair is becoming like 1.. -_-" and some others say it looks like the dragonball hair.. oh well~~~~it's a "hair-raising"(quoted from manish) experience after all.. haha!

had the 03/03 gathering of the year~ great to meet up with the jc mates after such a long time!as each gathering passes.. i cant help but realise.. we r all growing up.. imagine last time our topics used to revolve around sch work.. teachers etc.. then slowly it became army life n uni life...and now the gals r working already... it's interesting to see how the people around me grow up.. and how they change.. it's amazing

still missing a few ppl... hope next gathering's attendance will be better! =)

sunday was mama's bday~ had dinner at ju shin jung east.. that's the korean restaurant at east coast there.. near macs..the tennis courts etc.. yup.. the bbq was niceee hahaha i enjoyed that

planning timetable will give u headache lo.. seriously... must make sure lectures dun clash.. exam dates n times dun clash.. and prefably not on the same day.. if not it's gonna be another marathon...Zzz

nothing much to update also la.. workplace is a lot quieter..coz lots of temps have left already.. and that means more work for the remaining temps... and now i need to back track all the way to wat happened since my previous post..

got my pay yesterday but was a little too late to bank it in.. so got to wait until mon evening b4 they credit it into my account.. a turn of recent events inspired me to write all these down

it is understood that u have to fight for your own happiness and there's bound to be competition everywhere in this world.. but when 2 ppl have their eyes fixed on the same "happiness".. mind games.. backstabbing..n underhand tactics r used... is this really necessary? well the senario is similar to that of the recent 9pm show “变奏曲”.. the internal squabble between christopher lee n elvin ng over jeanette aw.. ya.. similar

wat i hate/despise a lot.. backstabbing...underhand tactics.. etc.. all the despicable things that ppl will actually resort to just to get what they want.. and that is often at the expense of many innocent parties... certainly i encourage healthy competition.. but when the competition gets ugly.. it just wont be the same anymore

the ugly scene aside.. now for some great news.. haha a good friend of mine recently got pretty lucky n he probably is still on cloub 9 as i write this entry.. haha he has been "waiting"(pun intended hahaha!!) for this moment n hey~ it has finally arrived! congrats dude! u know who u r la~ haha

friday was the celebration for ken.. dinner at sukisushi was rather horrible....good thing the movie was way better than the food.. not fantastic but still.. it's a pretty good movie~ still wanna watch other shows..lalala

today's fathers' day.. treated my family to dinner at black angus... yummy steak! and after dinner my father brought us to Long Bar.. at raffles hotel.. an interesting bar.. u could eat the peanuts that they serve n throw the shells anywhere... the only place in singapore where littering is encouraged~ sweet.....

i dread the day sch starts... i know i will be able to see my uni friends again but the daunting task of completing the 13 weeks of the semester just makes me horrified.. no joke.. it wasnt easy for me to get past sem 1 and 2 of year 1 to reach the heavenly 3 months holidays... 1 month is up already... oh noo.. need to enjoy life!

1 week of work has come n gone.. haha

work so far has been pretty slack... just like last year... still remember that was how elaine gave me the nick slacker fax.. -_-" nvm... this year..my cousin told me that the other temps label me as "the very slack 1".. i was like errrr... haha ok that's quite true =X but that's partly becoz i m seated all alone..away from the rest of the temps so when i m bored of doing all the work.. i'll walk over to their side to chat ma.. if not it's really damn boring from where i m sitting.. lalala

i still miss working last year.. this year is not as fun as last year.. different staffs... different temps.. it's just not the same~ i miss the perm staff whom i was under last year.. haha crappy n a very nice mentor during my stay there

yesterday while on my way home from the train station.. a puppy followed me for quite some distance.. haha so adorable =X it just followed me la... n it had a very hmmm satisfied look when i went over to pat it.. then on my way home..i have to pass by this playground.. n it just detoured away from me to the playground.. haha oh well.. was hoping that it'll follow me home =X hahaha! love dogs but my mama never allowed us to have 1.. she damn scared of their licks.. nvm.. next time when i have my own house... shall get 1 =)

1st post for june! wa ha ha!

okay met up with dt temps for dinner on friday.. but b4 that!

results were released on friday too! i was standing by my comp at 2+ already.. just waiting for time to pass.. watching the 9pm show to pass time.. 变奏曲 haha! okay anyway....... when it was 3pm already.. i went to the website.. tried to log in.. cannot.. so i kept trying for 5 mins.. and was thinking.. maybe system screw up or wat.. then i waited 10mins.. tried again cannot.. then i realised i used the wrong login id hahaa =X

alrite anyway results were more or less expected to be the way they r.. had to s/u my econs =X it's the lowest possible grade to s/u already.. any lower n i will have to retake another mod... oh well! my cap improved by 0.24 yea~ hoping that it will keep increasing as the semesters go by... and it shows that my studying method is not bad.. just that i'll have to improve on it further in order to get a higher cap score =)

dinner with dt temps was as usual.. fun n enjoyable.. haha! vic took some pics but nv upload or send at all laa.. freak..

yup i know this blog is getting pretty boring these days... well that basically sums up my life currently.. haha!

gonna start work next week.. back to the old place where i worked for 6 months last year.. going back there coz the pay's pretty good n i made a bunch of wonderful friends previously.. and only some of us r going back there to work.. hoho dun think we're going there to work lo..just go there to socialise n get paid ahah!

talking abt work.. i bought a long sleeve shirt today.. originally was just 30% off coz of gss.. then use amex got additional 15% off.. wahaha in the end the shirt only cost like 35 bucks.. quite cheap yea i love my dad hahaha!

the weather is playing with me man.. when i dun feel like swimming.. the sunlight is soo bloody bright... when i head out..on my way to the club.. it starts to rain... not only once already hor.. 3 times! am i that suay.. next time if u wan it to rain.. ask me to head out to go swimming.. very likely it will work

today i came across a sentence.. okay saturday! went cycling with dt temps yea yea! lunch was at kfc then walked over to east coast from parkway... the weather was typical hot singapore weather.. SCORCHING SUN.. very humid.. but we had lots of fun cycling.. jumping.. haha! took a few jumping photos..

so i'm done with my year 1 in nus already.. had a few days of holidays already and except for wed nite.. havent been doing much.. haha

starting work on 2 june for 2 months.. then it'll be back to sch.. oh crap! hate that feeling.. back to sch.. hah oh well la

shall blog abt wed went to wheelock place's sakae for dinner together with my uni friends.. n never order chicken shiogayaki there.. u cant taste the chicken at all man.. only can taste the garlic.. n it's damn strong.. lol horrible..

after dinner..headed to zouk.. ha 1st time there n stupid kw keep making me drink.. but the lychee martini really tasted good la.. lol! we ordered 2 jugs of long island... 2 jugs or cranberry dunnoe wat.. then i got 2 free drinks so i got lime vodka.. and kw got me n szehui each a vodka shot.. belated bday present ha.. thankz ar hahaha drank quite a bit n glad that was still in a normal state of mind when we left.. haa

Alrite so it's 1 paper down.. many more to go.. amazingly i have a 1-week break b4 my next paper.. but when my next paper starts.. it's like another mad rush.. just like my mid terms where i had 3 papers within a short period of 18hours.. now it's 2 papers on saturday.. 1 on mon evening and 1 on tues morning.. how am i supposed to stay sane with this kind of exam timetable.. hah oh well!

headed to crabshack on saturday to watch the big match showdown between chelsea n man united.. was very disappointed that we lost.. to a penalty decision that was very dubious.. personally i dun think it was a penalty.. wasnt handball.. how could the assistant referee see it from that distance.. horrible match officials that they have nowadays.. just wondering.. for tennis.. the court is MUCH MUCH smaller than a football field that's for sure.. n yet they have linesmen everywhere to check whether the ball is out.. when they r unsure.. they still have technology to back them up.. but for soccer.. the field is soooooo huge and yet they have only 2 linesmen... and 1 referee who runs around on the pitch making major decisions.. n sometimes that ref gets in the way of the ball.. tell me IS THAT FAIR? i highly doubt so.. a soccer match definitely needs more match officials.. more linesmen that's for sure.. need intervention of technology.. and probably have an umpire who sits way up there who can see everything n make fair decisions..

anyway.. i think it's about time for me to get a haircut.. haa will get it done soon.. probably after exams.. okay then.. having said that.. it's back to studies! see ya!

almost a week since i've updated.. basically dunnoe wat i'm bz with.. haha!

exam season is here! starting monday.. we would be on our last week of school b4 heading to reading week n alas! the dreaded finals.. somehow i think every1 has this dilemma... somehow u dread exams u never want it to come.. but yet u wan it to pass as quickly as possible.. probably fast forward to the vacation part.. a good solid 3 month break from uni.. cant wait for that!

i have been home alone since friday... coz both my parents r out of town.. for 10 days lalala

my sis n future bro in law got a new home already! haha it the new block of flats that r damn near bedok interchange.. it's damn convenient la.. everything within walking distance.. not like the current ulu home tt i have been living in.. haha nvm ya so today we went there to check out the place... quite cool.. =) then after looking at the place.. we went over to bedok interchange for dinner.. didnt know they had aston's express there.. heehee! a scrumptous dinner! n we bought durians home.. he tot can watch soccer n eat durians...but tonite no good match to watch.. so in the end watched casino royale on scv.. hoho never watched b4.. quite interesting but towards the end it was damn draggy.....Zzzz

i'm not being emo la.. lol just reflective.. uhh haha yea that's the problem with living in a damn ulu estate n a damn ulu house... u start thinking lots of crap while walking home coz it seems to take forever to walk home.. n many of u will ask me why dun wanna take a bus.. there's 2 bus services from the train station to outside my house.. but average waiting time is about 15mins... n i still have to walk home from the bus top n that takes about 5mins.. i'd rather walk home from the train station

anyway did my last instalment of qing ming today... feeling super sleepy now.. woke up at 5? who wakes up at 5am on sundays la! been losing lots of sleep already n weekends also cannot have ample sleep.. Zzz

going on to week 12 of school term.. which means 2 more weeks of studies plus 1 week of reading week b4 the killer comes..not feeling entirely confident at all even though i've been consistently doing my work.. revising.. hah except for 2214..i seriously dunnoe how 2 study for that mod.. lecturer so slack.. oh well!

recently have craving for tau huay.. =D not really craving.. i had tauhuay yesterday evening n i just feel like having more.. i've always liked tauhuay but hmm.. havent had it for a long time so probably that's y it tastes so heavenly haha

every1 is like saying that my feet damn small.. u know.. for a short guy... it would be damn weird if my feet were big... the average height for guys is like 170 n soooo.... correspondingly.. the average shoe size for guys would be like size 8 n above? i have to admit tt my feet r rather small... haha n i always have problems looking for shoes.. coz the smallest size they always have is always 7.. in the end i always wear size 7 shoes.. but cant do it for slippers coz it would seem too big.. wat 2 do? go out barefooted lo..

super sunday indeed!! Manchester United 3 - 0 Liverpool!!! damn happy with this result! glory glory man united! hoho! in another match.. Chelsea 2 - 1 Arsenal.. not a bad result for man utd too coz that would mean that we r now 5 points clear of the chasing pack and it's 7 games remaining for the season!! =)

1 piece of sad soccer news is that next season onwards... we'll only get to watch the premier league on starhub cable.. no more champions league action! boooo!!

hmmm lalala anyway.. the 3-0 win definitely brightened up my mood.. haha =D n that's some form of motivation for me to study for my stats tests.. which i studied thru-out the good friday break n the weekends.. fruitful studying i would have to say muahaha

went to swim today n sort of shopped a little at parkway.. hee got a pair of new flipflops.. 17bucks only.. =X dunnoe whether is it slippery on wet floors not.. i still trust havaianas.. non-slip 1...haha oh well! topped up my stationary, did some admin stuff at the swimming club n the bank.. pay bills etc... fruitful monday

tonite so bored.. no soccer to watch but tmr nite would be THE nite.. hoho refer to previous post for more info =)

been trying to study for my stats test which is next fri..i m damn scared.. seemed to have run out of steam.. last time studying was like ok.. just do it.. u'll get wat u deserve.. but now it's like err... hard to score high marks.. hard to be average... the feeling sucks.. especially after 3 of my 4 tests r bottom 25%... i dont know if i can take another blow like that again... it's maddening.. so i really really hope things will get better...

had steamboat dinner at chinese swimming club just now with my parents.. haha it's 15 bucks per person n well.. not bad la.. =) food is nice n it's buffet anyway so quite worth it

alrite hmmmm tues was a typical school day for me..

ma2214 test on wed.. this mod is called combinatorial analysis.. basically it's more advanced permutations n combinations etc... anyway that's not the point... the point is.. 1st time i felt so relax during the test.. not coz it's easy..but well the lecturer is gonna retire after this sem.. so he's the bo chap kind.. and...hmmmm... u should know wat will follow....having a test..with 1 invigilator who is the bo chap kind.. and arh u get it...

today supposed to have tut at 11 but the lecturer cancelled it.. and so i only have the 4-6 lecture which i decided not to pon since my midterms r officially screwed... i had 5 tests already.. got back 4 of them... and among these 4... 3 of them i scored below mean... n am among the bottom 25% of the class... which is crap la.. last sem i didnt study much for my mid terms n i did ok.. in fact better than ok.... then for this sem i mugged for my mid terms! n i get such sucky results.. study for wat?

oh yea today at sch.. we were on the topic of bdays..i think... haha then serene..out of nowhere.. said tt they should get me a earhole for my bday.. errrr.....haha i dun think i will want that.. my mother will sure freak out..lalala

okay so the end of today marks the start of the long weekend... n ironically.. tmr i'm going to do a buddhist/chinese tradition on a christian public holiday.. hah going 2 扫墓... haha nothing special la.. just find it a bit ironic...

i miss holidays.. if only sem break is here.. that would be soooo nice.. haha

cant wait for this sunday! it's super sunday! clash of the titans.. watever u call it.. 9.25pm it's Man United V Liverpool and at 11.55pm it's Chelsea V Arsenal! 2 big matches.. xD but b4 that.. i have a dental appointment in the morning.. used to dread dentals.. but come to think of it.. the dentist is trying to make your teeth look better.. stay strong n etc etc.. but i still dunnoe whether to put braces or not.. it will be 2 years of hmm i dunnoe wat but i wont be able to eat many stuff.. n i love food.. u cant take food away from me =X

the current channel 8 9pm show is very interesting.. haha it's a show that is typically "singapore-ish" n something which all of us can relate 2..haha every1 should watch it! but i think the 水缸 seems a bit extra lei.. spoils the whole storyline... must wait till the end to see.. =)

lol stupid title.. =X coz it's been raining for the past week... wan go swimming also cannot.. sighhh...

went to cut my hair on fri... havent cut my hair for 2 months le.. didnt keep track lo.. wahh.. lol

studied n did some of my tuts n homework assignment on fri nite n sat afternoon.. the assignment is getting more n more chim la! freakkkk n i'm supposed to hand it in tmr.. oh oh....more tests coming up Zzz

went to bedok blk 85 for dinner on sat with fil ken yf.. n yf had to give us a "survey" to do.. more like SAT test la.. the maths question would be soo much easier with a calculator around.. and i would be better off with a dictionary for the english qns... nvm..onto dinner... yummmmmy! i guess i overdid the order of chicken wings.. haha my fault =X but we still enjoyed our dinner rite? haa after dinner went to hideout cafe... it's similar to minds cafe but it's the neighbourhood kind.. interesting games which i think all of us had lots of fun with.. though violent... Zzzmy cards kept getting snatched away when i was bringing it towards me already.. then suddenly it detoured away from me.. -_-" great...

my malaysian 姨婆 (grandaunt) is back to visit us again... remember last time she came.. we had a mahjong session at my house.. haha n she was teaching us how to use the "飞" tile... so yea some of my relatives came over to have dinner with her yesterday... went to changi village to have zi char... lol

i wanna watch Rule #1! seems like a nice show.. haha need to escape from sch man... studying is bad for health Zzz

dunnoe is it used like that or not la... but got back 2 results out of the 3 tests taken on thurs n fri.. the 3 consecutive tests that made me go crazy....

1stly got back ma1104 n was very pleased with the results.. 40/50 n it's above the mean mark so yea i'm very happy with that.. then i just got to know of my econs results which i think is damn sucky! freakin disappointed! not as if i didnt study... i studied! went through the book soooo many times! practised the past year questions.. consulted soooo many ppl to know why is the answer like that.. seriously think the marks is not a true reflection of the effort put in.. can say that i m suay or wat la.. but becoz of that...my mood today dropped to an all time low.. the feeling simply sucks when u know that your effort doesnt pay off... freak!!!
